Adequate Strategies to Reinforce Academic Performance:

1) Determine the number of hours that you will need to study.
2) Establish the academic load or number of courses you will take for each academic term.
a) This will avoid an overload of your responsibilities.
3) Review the course syllabus and create a realistic study plan.
4) Apply the study techniques you deem adequate to obtain a better academic performance.

Problem-Solving Techniques:

The study method used in reasoning and the use of problem-solving strategies. Order and categorization are used to classify, order, and better understand the information presented to facilitate reasoning.

It can be used for subjects where much data must be memorized. You will apply the principle of association, and for this, you will use:

Stress:

1) It is a feeling of physical or emotional tension.

2) It is your body's reaction to a challenge or demand.

3) It is the presence of a stressor in your life.

4) The emotional reaction that human beings experience before a change or challenge in daily life.

Anxiety:

1) It has to do with how each student values or interprets the situation to which he is exposed.

2) Anxiety is stress that continues after the stressor has disappeared.

3) Extreme worry, insecurity, lack of confidence, lack of concentration, difficulty in decision-making, apprehension, feeling of inferiority, feeling of losing control, difficulties in reading and understanding, difficulties in remembering words or concepts, and mental block.

4) It usually ends after getting out of the situation that caused the fear.

Self Assessments Techniques:

It is applied regularly to monitor the progress and accomplishment of the proposed objectives. Through the application of this technique, students will analyze:

1) The time spent on each assignment.

2) If it is complying with the objectives of the course.

3) The overall quality of the study they have performed.

4) Course materials and where they are experiencing the greatest difficulties.

5) Feedback from the facilitator or classmates.

6) Study habits to improve aspects of their work.

7) The way they will apply their studies in the professional career of their choice.

8) Their way of learning and identifying their study techniques.

Visualization Techniques:

1) Used when you have lost interest in studying.

2) Visualization is a technique used in psychological therapy to reduce stress and anxiety.

3) A series of imaginary images are connected with positive emotions to change negative thoughts and achieve a state of optimal well-being.
Note-Taking Strategies:

Be prepared to take notes before class.

1) Review your notes from the previous class.

2) Complete the assigned readings before arriving at class.

3) Bring the necessary note-taking materials (pens, notebook, pencils)

4) Take notes during class.

5) Pay attention and listen for indicative phrases that are important to write down.

6) Be sure to include frequently repeated information in your notes.

7) Pay attention to the information you do not know the meaning of.

Rewrite your notes after class:

1) Turn abbreviated words, phrases, and symbols into complete words or sentences.

2) Use the course text to reference possible questions that emerge from the notes you took in class.

3) Check with other students to ensure you did not omit any pertinent information.

Basic Rules for Writing:

When writing a document, clarity, simplicity, and syntax, paragraphs and sentences are required to keep a coherent idea. The following should be considered:

1) Create simple sentences.

2) Use the noun-verb-complement structure.

3) Use the main rules of punctuation to avoid misinterpretation.

4) Use a dictionary to avoid misspellings.

5) Use simple or commonly used words.
