It has a volume of 0.15 ft3 and initially contains 2.50 lbm of a mixture of liquid plus vapor water at 14.7 psia. When the pressure cooker is heated electrically, its internal pressure reaches 35.0 psia.

To understand the design, you need to know the heat transfer during the process, the irreversibility of the process if the inner surface of the pressure cooker is constant at 250.°F, and the change in total availability of the water if the local environment is at 14.7 psia and 70.0°F.
