Develop a real-world word problem that can be solved using the skills learned in this course. Pick something that you can discuss, show work, and explain in words. Use the word problems from the discussion posts and other various sections to get ideas. Other examples might include seeing where your homework might land if you threw it out the window by modeling it with a parabola, graphical representations, and the many examples we can use algebraic equations to solve.

You can adjust the worksheet as needed. To type mathematics symbols, use the Insert tab and find the Equation option. More info can be found here.Links to an external site. If you prefer to write this out, you can print it but will need to provide a scan or readable photo image to turn in.

I. Step I: Write and explain a real-world problem related to the topics of this class. Make sure to include diagrams or images as needed.

II. Step II: Define any related mathematical terms and explain the related mathematical concepts for your problem. In other words, what's the background knowledge needed to solve this problem? What different strategies might you use?

III. Step III: Solve the problem by showing your work and explaining the steps in words.

IV. Step IV: Discuss whether your answer makes sense and answers the real-world question. If not, explain.

V. Reflect: Lastly, think about the topics and skills of this course. How are they transferrable to your study of Psychology? In what ways might you use what you learned in this class in your personal and professional life?
