Two billiard balls with the same mass m move toward one another. Ball one moves in the positive x-direction with a velocity of v1i = 2.55 m/s and ball two moves in the negative x-direction with a velocity of v2i = 1.54 m/s. The two balls collide elastically.

Part (a) Write an expression for the magnitude of the system's initial momentum, Pi, in terms of m, v1i and v2i.

Part (b) Write an expression for the magnitude of the system's final momentum, Pf, in terms of m and the final velocities of ball one, v1f, and ball two,

Part (c) If the initial velocities of the balls were v1i = 2.0 m/s and v2i = 1.0 m/s, what would be the final velocity of ball two, v2f in m/s?
