Responsible Consumption of Information essay.

For this assignment you will write an essay that reflects in a critical and analytical way on how responsible global citizens could and should use information to understand the world around them. (By "global citizen" I mean someone who is aware of and concerned about what goes on in the world, and one who considers the consequences of their individual and collective actions on others in the world.)

In an increasingly technological age people are bombarded with all kinds of information from a wide variety of sources. There is a tendency to uncritically accept information that conforms to an one's world view while also uncritically rejecting information that challenges or contradicts one's world view.

This essay should consider whether it matters if one is a critical and responsible consumer of information, and how one can be a more responsible consumer of information.

Your assignment will be graded on both content and writing style and must conform to the instructions for writing essays and grading rubric included at the back of the syllabus.
