ESSAY STRUCTURE
1. TOPIC: New "Harrison Bergeron"(suggested. Well, I haven't thought of a good topic so that this one probably would not be my final decision).
2. CHARACTERS(Main) in this Story: -Harrison Bergeron, -George Bergeron and -Hazel Bergeron.
3. ARTICLE PREVIEWThe article speaks of equality in the lives of people living in a futuristic world. It describes indetail how the equality was measured, from the physical to the mental. It goes further to explainhow the equality is rooted in the constitution.
4. Previous ARTICLE analysis The main theme of the story is equality. How people living in a certain time are forced to beequals even when they are obviously not. The article discusses the theme of equality and theeffects of not being equal. It shows the effects of living a carefree life that is not strictlygoverned by the rules in the constitution.
5. Plan of my Adaptation: After today's session, I realized that I should not change all scenes of story. Therefore, I planned to add some plots and dialogue between Harrison Burgeron and Police (The organization which belongs to government. I will refer Police in my left part of proposal), instead of changing the ending part. There are only few dialogues between Harrison Burgeron and police in the previous story. After Harrison appeared, the police just caught him immediately. In my opinion, I believe adding some dialogue between those two roles can make whole story more wonderful. The reason is that Police belongs to government and Harrison Burgeron is a guy who is not willing to listen to that government. Apparently, Harrison's thoughts can represent plenty of audiences' willing at that time, even includes his parents and some of Police. However, there is only Harrison dares to speak loudly in stage. I believe some of Police might also change minds after listening to Harrison's speaking. Therefore, there should be dialogues between them. They should argue with each other. Some of Police probably should also support Harrison. However, at last, Harrison was still killed by police who organized by government and never listened to Harrison. I think this will help whole story more influential and dramatic but the same ending.
