Written Assignment

This is a 2-3 page paper for the whole assignment. There are two objectives for this assignment.

Part 1:

Write a 1 page essay on what the quote means. The quote is: "...a government of laws, and not of men." by John Adams in 1774.

Part 2:

The second objective, in the same document, you will write about "Why we study history." Peter Stearns has a great article on this which will help you get started.

Assignment must be one document, not two separate.
Requires a title page, Line spacing is 2, Font Times New Roman 12,
Page requirement 2-3 pages in length.
First part of your essay is to be one page in length, the second part of your essay is to be 1-2 pages in length.

Minimum of two scholarly sources.
One source for Part 1 and one source for Part 2.
Must be on a bibliography page.
Sources will be formatted according to APA.

Must consult a minimum of two academically credible sources.

The short paper must include a cover page with your name, course number and course title, instructor's name, and date. You must also include a bibliography at the end of your paper. While composing your paper, use proper English. Do not use abbreviations, contractions, passive voice. Before submitting your paper, check your grammar and use spell check. Remember, the way you talk is not the way you write a paper.
