Question: This week you have explored the rise of organizational teams, including virtual ones, that make an understanding of team leadership theory crucial for 21st century organizational success. A global pandemic appears to have accelerated the use of virtual teams and potentially created a strong case for their continued use in a post-pandemic world. Your assignment for this week is to consider some key questions regarding team leadership and write an analysis of your findings. Your analysis should include a combination of insights from your textbook, the additional Instructional Resources, and at least 4 additional peer-reviewed articles. Write about a contemporary example of team leadership (including remote leadership). How has a global pandemic shifted the way we lead people and how does a dispersed team promote self-leadership? What method of communication is best for distributed team members? How much of a company's work can be accomplished through virtual teams? Post-pandemic, what does the future hold regarding remote work? As part of your analysis, please include an introduction and conclusion, and be sure your overall analysis should include how a leader approaches control, communication, trust, autonomy, and empowerment within the team.
To earn full credit, you will provide a Word document with a minimum of 5 full pages. In addition to the assigned reading, you should conduct your own research using the university library. Sources should be peer-reviewed (academic literature) and must not be older than five (5) years. You should find at least four (4) peer-reviewed articles in addition to any assigned readings.
