Arts can help individuals adopt new approaches by breaking traditional approaches and creating intellectual experiences which enhance creative thinking skills. STEM which is an acronym for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. I had a niece that went to an elementary school that was STEM based which I think is great to prepare her for her future in the workforce once she is of age. The arts also teaches young and old through the arts on how to be creative as well as training, abstract reasoning, and spatial thinking which are all critical skills for the future of engineers software designers, scientist, and entrepreneurs.
Studies showed in this reading that students who have taken a course or two of the arts are more in demand since it shows that you have studied and learned about different forms of art which shows you learned about creativity and have an imaginative mindset just from taking art courses.

Aesthetics is the science of sensory cognition and the appreciation of the beauty of art. There is a sharp distinction between psychological aesthetics which is a branch of empirical psychology and philosophical aesthetics. Examples are the evaluation of the art, description, and interpretation which varies from person to person. So regarding the meaning whether it is music, visual art, or even poems can be taken in a different context than others perceive it as. You see that is the beauty of art of how each and everyone of us perceives it. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Class, as a closing activity, let's imagine a world without the arts. What would your day to day life be like without art, and how might you see the impact of art on your life if you were forced to live without it?
