Problem: Write a report (three pages minimum, single space) about the use of linear mixed models in statistics. Try to discuss the advantages, limitations, and challenges of using them. Make sure you explain fixed vs random factors properly. Explain when to include a factor as random and when to not do so. Finally, briefly explain how to run a linear mixed model in R providing an example of code with proper syntax (you don't have to run an analysis though).
