Write a Poem

1. Select the type of poem you would like to write, and study its structure. You can find information and examples of different types of poetry on the Online Library.

2. Decide what the theme or topic for your poem will be. Ask yourself: What images will I use? Who or what will I describe?

3. Your poem must:
a. Have a title.
b. Be at least seven sentences.
c. Include a simile, a metaphor and a sensory image.
