In 2 to 3 pages paper, give a detailed outline of the topic you have chosen for your Term Paper. You will have to do research, and you will also have to think critically about the topic. On the first page, write two summary paragraphs: one paragraph explaining the background of your argument, and one paragraph giving the details of your arguments. On the second page, give a detailed outline of the paper, paragraph by paragraph. On the third page, give a detailed bibliography of at least five sources. List the source, in a typical bibliographic entry, then write two or three sentences explaining why the source is listed here-what does it contribute to your paper that the other sources do not?

Topic: Choose any topic that concerns the Middle East and North Africa and that interests you. Look at your own interests, your major, your career, and choose a topic that is relevant to any of these. Try to find a topic where you already have some knowledge, and where that knowledge can be enriched by expanding it to include topics that we covered in class. One of the most successful recent topics: Sensitivity training programs toward Arabs and Muslims in Cincinnati-area hospitals. The student was majoring in BIS, and also worked at an area hospital.
