Project Assignment
Write a paper on a radiation/nuclear incident. (EXCEPT Chernobyl): See APA Template for naming and alignment. Two attempts will be allowed if necessary. Your SafeAssign Originality Report percentage should be below 30%. If above 30% the work will not be graded because it will be considered not your original work. This is a violation of the University Honor Code and is at the instructor's discretion to report.
Requirements:
o BE APA STYLE. See the APA template on Blackboard under the assignment.
o 3-5 typewritten pages
o Times New Roman, size 12 point font, Double spaced, header and footer, title page, abstract, in-text citations, reference page
o Have a minimum of 2 sources documented with in-text citations
o Have had a biological impact on the inhabitants/individual (in other words there must be deaths, and/or increased incidents of illness.)
o Paper should be organized according to sections
Section 1: Brief explanation of the incident (include isotopes, exposure rates, etc)
Section 2: Description of the biological effects on the population (i.e. # of deaths, incidents of cancer, acute radiation sickness, etc)
Section 3: Long term effects of the incident (i.e. psychological, financial, biological, etc)
Section 4: Conclusion (what did you learn from this project)
