Ralph Martin has ordered a Hot Cook stove, model 123-5 from your company, Comfort Stoves Inc. The price is $1200.00. He has asked to open a charge account with your company and pay for the stove on credit.

Comfort Stoves does offer credit to qualified customers, but when you process Mr. Martin's credit application you learn from Trans Union that he has a poor credit rating. Apparently he has several outstanding student loans that he hasn't repaid. Now you face the task of refusing credit to Mr. Martin while persuading him to go ahead and buy the stove.

Comfort Stoves has a layaway plan that would allow Mr. Martin to make monthly payments toward any purchase. Write a letter to Mr. Martin, inventing details as appropriate.
