Write a introduction paragraph about Sandra, a 75-year-old Latina transwoman, began a physical, legal, and social transition when she was 47. She lost her salaried job at the start of her transition and was underemployed until she began to collect Social Security at age 62 .Sandra and her wife divorced when Sandra was 49. They maintain regular contact. Sandra has three children and has contact with her youngest child, who calls her Dad. Sandra has not met her grandchildren. Sandra moved to a mobile home community when she was 52. While she is friendly with the neighbors, she is not out to them as transgender. Sandra self-maintains her mobile home, which is showing signs of neglect. Sandra has never received preventive health screenings. She ended hormone replacement therapy (and her primary care provider relationship) when she was 60. Sandra attended therapy during transition and expresses negative feelings about this experience. She shows symptoms of depression and anxiety. Sandra says she will do "whatever it takes" to avoid long-term care and home health care. She fears mistreatment and being outed. Sandra's Social Security records and driver's license carry her correct name and gender marker, but her birth certificate remains under her.
