The goal of this assignment is to provide students with scholarly tools to research a scope of topics in contemporary and social sport.

Use the Online Library to research an article of interest from one of the journals on sport sociology. The topic should align with a topic that will be covered in class.

Provide the article title, author, and publication in APA Style. Write a brief description of the study and outcome with a minimum of 500 words up to 750 words, and then evaluate which sociological theory from the textbook the researcher used to approach the topic with a minimum of 200 words. Compare the theories and why you chose a particular theory as the guide to the study.

Your assignment should have three clear headings: 1) Description of the Study, 2) Sociological Theory, and 3) References. The assignment should have 3 to 5 references with one being the textbook and one being the article. Please double-space the assignment in 12 point, Times New Roman font.
