Reflection and self-reflection can be crucial to the development of confidence in ethical decision making and when the insights of others can broaden an APRN' s perspective. Yet, perhaps understandably, this is often the most neglected part of ethical practice. Time constraints, fiscal constraints, and the relative isolation of many advanced practice settings all conspire against collegial meetings of these kinds. Important tips for the conduct of such meetings include neutral settings, confidentiality, and sensitivity to the feelings of those presenting so they are not made to feel that they "did it wrong." Rather, the emphasis should be on the idea that such sessions help further professional goals by facilitation of new tools, strategies, and approaches. \ Think of a simple ethical case or situation that you were involved in your past practice that left you troubled. Be sure to answer all of the following questions in your initial post.
