Assignment - The Supreme Court of the United States of America has a responsibly to uphold the rights laid out in the constitution of the United States of America one of those rights is the right to free speech. To limit the free speech of the individual would be unconstitutional however the supreme court can't force online platforms to host speech they feel is derogatory or hurtful because doing to would be infringing on the platforms rights. Because of this I do not believe that the supreme court needs to make an effort to limit speech no matter how derogatory or offensive. Society can relay on the moderators and censors on mass media platforms to self govern those spaces. Free speech in America is extremely important if the courts start restricting it it could lead to government censorship. If the government started censoring the U.S. population it could lead to an inability of the population being allowed to criticize their government which in turn could led to a totalitarian government similar to that of North Korea.

Question - Would America benefit if Congress overturned the First Amendment? Could Americans survive becoming a socialist country i.e. Castro's Cuba or Hitler's Germany? Pros and Cons?
