Question: Pfizer is a multinational pharmaceutical corporation that makes, among other things, a Covid-19 vaccine that was quite effective against the early variants of the virus. But the vaccine it made was very expensive to purchase, which was one of the contributing factors in vaccine inequality world-wide. Some countries simply could not afford to purchase enough vaccines for their citizens. Would a consequentialist say Pfizer has a duty to assist?
