Paper and Advocacy Plan

Write a paper analyzing your blog topic/world problem in relation to human rights violations, social injustices, and trauma by creating an advocacy plan that consists of the development of a program AND a new policy or altering a current policy from a country that you chose other than the U.S.. The world problem for the paper is the same world problem used for the blogs/discussions. Each student selects a global country with social policies that do not alleviate the social issues created by the world problem. Therefore, the paper examines the world problem in relation to the social, cultural, political, and economic contexts within the global country then discusses social policies creating barriers to human and social well-being (see paper outline for detailed directions).

The assignment also requires the creation of an advocacy plan proposing a program AND policy change within the selected global country. The proposed policy change must anticipate benefits for the citizens who are experiencing the world problem (e.g., target population) by creating redress to human rights violations, injustices, and systemic oppression. In addition, the proposed policy should anticipate a change in a service delivery system (e.g., program or practice) and offer an evaluation plan to measure alleviation of the world problem.The advocacy plan requires critical and creative thinking.

The paper and advocacy plan are different from the online weekly assignments (essays). This assignment is a research paper. Research and insights from the blogs/discussions may be used in the paper and advocacy plan. Additional research is required. The paper must have at least 4 resources from Peer Review Journal Articles or books published from 2012 and above. Each student should also integrate course content into the paper and advocacy plan. Referencing textbook and other course materials is fine to add.

The body of the paper should be 6 to 8 pages minus the title page and reference page. APA formatting is required. Please make sure that you have a body of 6 to 8 pages. Again, the title page and the references DO NOT count in that page count
