Step 1 - Provide Background information
The candidate provided information about:
• Who they trained -This could include: job title and key duties, learning style preferences, LL&N level, existing relevant skills/knowledge, availability for learning, etc.
• Organisation (workplace) in which the learning took place
• Reason for the training -This could include: learning objectives/outcomes, people to be informed, safety issues, etc.
• Other background information as needed for context to be determined
• Proof of having identified learning requirements and analyses of workplace routines to determine opportunities for learning. This could include: opportunities to organise work to provide effective learning opportunities through existing work processes
• Explanations and proof of evidence of communication involved to identify learning requirements and what was found out
• Analysis of workplace routines and discussions of:
o opportunities identified for on-the-job learning
o challenges/dangers identified for on-the-job learning
Step 2 - Work-based learning plan for the individual
The candidate provided a work place document that:
• reflected a workplace learning progression that identified and addressed OHS implications of using the workplace as the basis for learning
• addressed the learner's specific needs, including preferred learning style/s
Included the following information:
• Goals/outcomes of the learning
• Time frames
• Frequency of meetings/length of sessions
• Learning approach/es and activities - e.g. self-paced; on the job; 1:1 coaching in a meeting room; workplace observation

• Support people and other key personnel to be informed/involved, and how you obtained agreement for your plan from both the learner and their supervisor

Step 3 - Learning Program and session plans
• The candidate provided or developed the overall Learning Program for the training being delivered to Learner 1.
• The candidate provided or developed detailed session plans to reflect how each training sessions for Learner 1 will be structured
Step 4 - Delivering the Training
