The Work-energy theorem states that the change in the kinetic energy of an object is equal to the net work done on that object: change in KE = KEf - KEi = Wnet = (Fnet )? * ΔX

Here (F net) is the component of the net force parallel to the displacement, ΔX is the displacement, KEf = ½ mVf 2 and KEi = ½ mVi 2 are the final and initial kinetic energy of the object, respectively.

Assuming that the work-energy theorem applies, and the initial kinetic energy of the block is 0.0124 J, what is its final kinetic energy after it has accelerated through the 0.54-m displacement?
