A 66-year-old woman presents to the clinic concerned about pain she has been experiencing in her lower back. The pain is the worst when she is walking or standing and gets better when she sits or lays down. She is also experiencing some weakness in her legs. Flexion of her back relieves symptoms, and she is still able to bicycle. What is the best diagnostic test for the most likely cause of this patient's back pain?
