A client has asked for a recommendation to a wiring system solution to an electrical problem and a related network problem. He wants to install a home LAN, but the house is more than 100 years old, constructed of brick, and has been remodeled many times. The home is inadequately wired and the only unfinished room is the main floor furnace room in the center of the house, which also contains the electric service panel.
