Introduction.

Often when developing a new wireless digital communication protocol it is useful to develop a simulator to evaluate the various methods available for communication of the data.

Frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) is uses in wireless communications.

Task.

The nature of this assignment is to research into the concept and use of frequency hopping spread spectrum  and become familiar with the physical aspects of this method, e.g. the frequency description, the data rates, the spreading technique. Once you are familiar with the physical aspects then you are to discuss how these can be simulated using a computer program. Note you need not refer to any specific language but you need to outline in detail the methodology used to simulate this technique.
