Ranchland Inc. operates a commercial ranch on several acres of land in Western Wyoming. One year because of an earthquake, a deep vent opens on the ranch and toxic gas is released into the air. The amount of gas is so great that it drifts for miles and affects the closest city to Ranchland's operation. Will the Ranchland be liable for the damage caused by the toxic gas?
