You are a newly hired Project Manager at a large Engineering and Construction firm. This firm uses a Matrix organizational structure for project delivery and has a strong bureaucratic organizational culture. The company also highly values safety of personnel and quality of work being conducted. Although you have some experience working on project teams on small construction projects in the past, you have never led a project with your past role being a project coordinator.
