Problem: Scenario: Sam Schmoe is an appliance repairman for Mega Appliance Store, Inc. Sam just learned that Mega appliance is having a training seminar for its repairmen in the Caribbean at St. Martin Island, and he will be required to attend. Sam and his sweetheart planned to get married two weeks prior to his trip to St. Martin. Being the savvy fiancé he is, he sees this as a way to provide a much nicer honeymoon than the three nights in a chalet in Gatlinburg, TN. He asks his boss if he can take the wife along and stay a few extra days, and the boss agrees. (Of course, Sam is paying for her airfare and meals, etc., and any extra nights of hotel). Question: Disregard the previous question, and presume that immediately after Sam and his bride-to-be arrive at the airport in St. Martin, they arrange a cab ride to the hotel Sam was supposed to stay at for his training session. During the cab ride, Sam and his fiancé are injured in a crash. Will Sam's injuries be compensable?
