Question: Four-year-old Mark and five-year-old Lorraine are outside in the playground during free-play. They are playing under the big trees when one of them lets out a squeal of delight. They had found a bug! Excited with their discovery they run over to the teacher to show her. The teacher shows her interest and enjoyment of their find as well. They talk a little about the bug and then the children carefully carry their precious find over to the corner of the playground where they sit and admire it. Soon after, the teacher hears loud arguing and looks over to see Mark and Lorraine shouting at each other and pushing. Mark wants to show the bug to the other children during circle time for his show and tell, but Lorraine also wants to show the bug as her show and tell. The argument is over who is going to show the bug. The teacher approaches to help the children resolve this situation.2.
