A)In a classic experiment, cells were treated with tritiated thymidine and fixed immediately. The cells were then treated for autoradiography and then examined in a microscope. What the researchers were looking for was the timing of DNA synthesis. First, why use tritiated thymidine and not some other nucleotide?
