Question - High School Health classes often have a course section on parenting, during which, the students take care of a baby for a certain length of time.  Years ago, the "baby" was a hard-boiled egg; currently life-like baby dolls that cry, wet, and become hungry are currently used.

Why are the current "babies" considered more effective at teaching parenting skills?

Offer several reasons why this program might be ineffective for generalization to the real world, regardless of the nature of simulated "baby" utilized?
