Problem: Tattoos are becoming increasingly popular in society. It's safe to say that most of you reading this are either "sporting ink" or know someone who is. Today's tattooing process uses an electrical tool to deposit pigment into the skin. In regards to tattooing, discuss into which layer of the skin the ink is deposited, why the tattoo ink stays in place, why tattoos fade over time, why it is painful to be tattooed, and why tattooing carries a significant risk of infection.
