Question: Passengers arrive at the security screening area at Chattahoochee Airport according to a time given by N(20, 3) seconds. At the first point, the boarding pass and ID are checked by one of two people in a time that is distributed N(l2, I) seconds. (Passengers always pick the shortest line when there is an option.) The next step is the X-ray area which takes a time that is N(l5, 2) seconds; there are two lanes open at all times. Some l5% ofthe people have to be rechecked for a time that N(IOO, 10) seconds. The number of recheckers needed is to be detennined. Simulate this system for eight hours with one and two recheckers.
