Step 1: The assessment is about choosing which civilization should be written about, the Incas, the Aztecs, or the Mayas. The paragraph should be about 5-8 complete sentences long. The paragraph should explain at least three reasons as to why that certain civilization is the chosen civilization, as well as one reason for each of the two civilizations that were not chosen. There should be evidence of understanding life and social roles in early Mesoamerican society, and rationale for societies not chosen shows evidence of thoughtful evaluation of life and social roles across the early Mesoamerican societies. The facts should be specific as to why a certain civilization was chosen, for example, it shouldn't be said that the civilization was chosen because of human sacrifice since all three of them practiced human sacrifice.
