You work in the Marketing department at your company. You have many cross-functional meetings as you must constantly interact with many departments. The Vice-President of Marketing announces they plan to follow a recent announcement by the Finance Department by implementing new meeting policies soon for everyone in Marketing. To increase focus and productivity, they announce that marketers are to keep their calendars clear of meetings on Fridays. Also, to shorten meeting time, marketing employees must send out all reading materials for each meeting 24 hours in advance, so that all can read everything before the meeting. That way, meetings can focus only on reactions to the information and decision making. Using course concepts, briefly explain two (2) reasons why Marketing employees might resist change (make assumptions if needed). Also, provide and briefly explain one (1) management action that could reduce the resistance to change.
