Why is marijuana legal in Colorado and Washington but not in Kansas? Why is the age of majority 19 in Nebraska but only 18 in Oklahoma? Answers: They are state laws. We all know there is a huge difference in laws between states. States will also make laws that are more restrictive than the federal law and we are bound by the more restrictive. So, when it comes to HIPAA and Healthcare if you move to another state make sure to find out what that state's laws are when you move and start a job in that state.

As a Healthcare individual or someone using the healthcare system, you will need to be aware of who is making the decisions that will be impacting you. In addition, you need to be aware how laws are created and bills are passed. The questions below I don't expect you to know off the top of your head, I expect you to research on the internet to find your answer. No need to reference your site to tell me where you found them.
