Question: Why is it important that scientists think about possible errors in their method and/or results? Why is repetition important? If scientists do not share their experimental results with others, is that bad for science? Why? Are there any results of investigations that scientists shouldn't share? For example: if an epidemiologist sees a mutation in an Ebola virus (Ebola historically has mortality rates of 50-90%) that makes it airborne, should the scientist tell government agencies? Should scientists doubt everything? Should they believe that their theories are true?
