Assignment:
"The Route of the Exodus"
THE EXODUS
Exodus 12-19, Numbers 10-12, 33, and Deuteronomy 10 all record portions of Israel's Exodus and journey into the land of Canaan. Moses, who more than likely wrote those books, mentions some of the places where the Israelites were along the journey. It's difficult to know exactly where these places are today because most of them have Arabic names.
Most scholars believe the Exodus took place around 1446 BC. There were three possible routes and it's somewhat debated which route that the nation of Israel took when they left Egypt to go to the Promised Land.
A Bible Atlas can provide better details. The reason there are three possible routes is because of the difficulty locating Mt Sinai. And there's a lot of debate about where Mt. Sinai is located, but most scholars in reading the Biblical Account of the Exodus, tend to think the Southern Route was the most likely option.
Write a paragraph summary of the possible routes of the exodus.
3 possible routes there's the northern, the middle sometimes refers to as the central route, and the southern route, which is the traditional route, personally, I think that's the most likely route. It's also good to have a bible atlas. Why is it difficult to determine the route of exodus? It's because of the location of where mount sigh eye and there is a lot of debate about where sigh eye is located but most scholars reading the biblical account of the exodus tend to think that the southern route is the most likely option.
