After reading your post, you made me think of something that I had not thought of before. We are probably having this discussion BECAUSE of the advancements in technology. If we didn't have all of these high tech machines that can keep a heart beating outside of the human body and can help determine when someone's heart has stopped beating would we even be having this discussion.

I agree with you that now that we are having this discussion that it is helping raise awareness, I have been able to discuss these topics with my family and we have been telling each other what we want to happen to us in these situations.
