A typed 3 - 4 page paper summarizing your arguments and cite the sources used

TOPIC: "Sexual Orientation" should be added to the current list of protected classes (Sex, National Origin, Race, Religion, Color, Age & Disability) in Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Law (Such provisions are currently being considered in the US Congress, and no doubt would be an addition to the 1991 Civil Rights Act, or an additional stand-alone law such as the Americans with Disabilities Act.) (i.e. that a new law should be written and then implemented.)

Note that here we are talking about what our country should do. This is a question of what direction our country should take in the future, as opposed what our existing laws currently require.

UNDERSTAND WHAT CONSTITUTES SEXUAL HARASSMENT. Be sure you know the difference between "Quid Pro Quo" and "Hostile
Work Environment" forms of sexual harassment.

Address two issues:

a. Why is a new law needed? What is the justification for this law? What problems will it address?

b. What form would the new law take? Most likely it would be similar in form to the Americans with Disabilities Act (1990). Be prepared to sketch out how it would work, and be able to tell skeptics why it is workable.
