During the first half of this course, we paid particular attention to the roles women were playing in Hollywood movies of the 1930s and 1940s. The movies we have watched during the second half of the semester from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s seemed to displayed more interest in forms of American masculinity. Using atleast FOUR of the films from this group and four of the course readings, identify a pattern of evidence that explains how and why Hollywood's conceptions of masculinity were changing during this time.
