Question: Why do Zebras have black and white stripes? Hypothesis 1: Most predators see in colour, not black and white. Hypothesis 2: Stripes make zebras look slimmer, so less desirable to hunt. Hypothesis 3: Giraffes and leopards already filled the role for large spotted animals in Africa, making stripes the Zebras' only choice. Suggest one supporting premise and one underminer for each of these Hypotheses. Common sense is fine - no biological knowledge needed.
