Question: King Arthur, also known as Arthur pendragon was known as the the leader of the knights of the round table. He became king by fulfilling the prophesy of pulling excalibur from a stone. Arthur pulling excalibur from the stone would be a reference to Campbells call to adventure theory, the issue of pulling the sword from the stone appeared to Arther as an ordinary person. Arthur became the leader of Britain and fought in the war against the Saxons, referring to Campbells theory of slaying your dragons, overcoming the struggles that king Arthur was experiencing.
