Using several examples, discuss how classical conditioning and instrumental learning help us adapt to the environment. Describe two examples of S-O learning (classical conditioning) and two examples of R-O learning (operant conditioning) that you have observed in your own behavior, or that of your family or friends, over the last few days.

Why do you think it was important for psychology to move away from structuralism? Is there value in structuralism that we have lost? What are the pros and cons of behaviorism? How do Watson and Skinner differ in their approach to behaviorism?

Discuss how you may be able to implement classical conditioning in your life. This may be from your personal life (family, children, etc.) or in the workplace (boss, staff, colleagues, etc.).
