You will present at a local PTA meeting to address parents' concerns of medical errors. You will inform the members of the Parent Teacher Association regarding the state of medical errors, the innovations that are in use, and the innovations that are in development, which will mitigate errors in your center. Remember your audience-the PTA members-and how this community might prioritize its concerns.

As a senior leader of your community's primary healthcare center, you have been asked to deliver a presentation at the local PTA meeting addressing concerns of recent national news coverage on medical errors. You have been asked to cover a series of questions to ease parents' concerns.

• Why do medical errors in healthcare continue to occur?
• What is the role of new technologies in the mitigation of these errors?
• Who in the health sector industry needs to collaborate to mitigate mistakes and change culture?
• What progress has been made?

In a PowerPoint presentation (5-8 slides, excluding references) with speaker notes, to include the following:

• Explain why medical errors in healthcare continue to occur, including at least one example.
• Explain the role that technology plays in mitigating errors, including at least one example of an innovation that is in use and/or in development.
