Question: Why do executives and managers spend more time listening than do workers?

Executives and managers spend more time listening than their workers for many reasons. Although, managers and executives are higher up than their workers they still have room to grow like anyone else. Managers and executives listening to their workers can expand their understanding and identify areas of improvement. Listening is one of the most effective ways to learn and develop ones skill. When executives and mangers listen they also have the power to be able to help their employees resolve conflict. A managers and executive could have gone through the same conflict, dealt with the issue, or have insight on the issue to help resolve the conflict an employee is going through. It may be very important for managers or executives to listen but I think overall it is essential for at all levels to listen. In an work environment it is known that effective communication and active listening are crucial and help a company succeed.
