Discussion

Imagine you are working on a project in your particular discipline for your community that will utilize GIS. In order to clearly illustrate the benefits of your project, you want to incorporate a variety of visual displays. What is your project, and what are at least two different display types that you will utilize? Why did you choose those displays over other display types? Be sure to consider symbology, scale, and color and how these features influence public perception.

Final Project.

Submit an outline of the Tools and Technologies portion of the final project. The submission should include a description of the geospatial tools and technologies that could be used to explore or enhance your selected discipline and an evaluation of no-cost or open-source geospatial tools and technologies that you will use to create your map in Milestone Three.

The format of this milestone will be a presentation. Your presentation should use PowerPoint or another comparable presentation tool, with speech notes.
