-What aspects of indentured servitude encouraged the growth of slavery?

-How and why did the institution of slavery begin and develop in colonial America?

-How did laws and statutes evolve with regard to the treatment of enslaved people in the colonies, and how did they alter the demographic definition of who would be subject to slavery?

-Do you believe that the changing laws and statutes set the stage for later rebellions by enslaved people, and if so, how?
