Assignment:
Could the Biblical Worldview be considered a cultural dimension? Why or why not?
The Biblical Worldview can most certainly be considered a cultural dimension because a Christian's moral values and personal beliefs reflect the kind of person they really are and how they interact with other people of diverse cultures and beliefs. These values and beliefs differentiate individuals of one nation from those of another and are generally learned from an early age. All human beings have some type of worldview of what they believe in and how they view life. A Christian, with a Biblical Worldview, bases their moral values and beliefs on the infallible Word of God [Tac06].
The Bible is the absolute truth and is the foundation of how we should live our life as Christians. A person's moral values, attitudes, and beliefs of what is right and wrong shapes our Biblical Worldview. However, there are many factors that influence the way we think and act. Whether we realize it or not, our personal worldviews are deeply affected by the world and other cultures. God's Word and His Commandments are the foundation for how we should act and respond to other people and their worldviews. At the end of the day, it is our decisions and actions that show who we truly are and what we believe. Romans 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
