Questions: Callicott famously argued against human-centered valuation frameworks (also called "anthropocentric" frameworks). Instead, Callicott suggested that people should try to form their ethical systems in non-anthropocentric terms that include the considerations of land, non-human animals, etc. One of the counterarguments against Callicott was that since we are humans, we can ONLY provide ethical systems in human-centered terms. Could ethics that are not human-centered are possible? Why or why not?
